Merries Nappy Guide Chart

Choosing nappy sizes can be a confusing time for new parents. As nappy sizes vary according to the baby's weight, these are only a guide to help start you off on the right path.

Even if the weight matches, you may need to choose a smaller or larger nappy size, depending on your baby's height, waist and thigh measurements.

The frequency and amount of pee also vary with different babies, so choose the appropriate size for your baby after careful consideration of all factors.

For example, many parents like to go up a size overnight, if their baby or toddler drinks a lot at night.

When is it time to change to a larger nappy size?

Change to a larger size if you observe any of the following:

  • When the nappy feels tight around the waist & thighs, or leaves marks on the skin
  • When you are using the edge of the tape to hold the nappy in place
  • When the nappy is too short and the waist line goes below the belly button
  • When there is an increase in the quantity of your baby's pee & poo, resulting in leakage

When to switch from Nappy to Nappy Pants?

Once your little one starts moving around actively and starts dislikes lying down for nappy changes, it's time to regain your sanity and switch to Nappy Pants! Nappy Pants can be changed while baby is standing, making nappy change a breeze even when you're outdoors or there is no change room.

Nappy pants are perfect for potty and toilet training toddlers as well as overnight.
